Blog Explosion has noticed members of the sale of the popular exchange a week after the successful sale became known in an email to members.

What a week it has been over the last few days. We have some really great news!

BE members have been asking about the status of BlogExplosion since we announced the site was going back up for sale last week. In less than two days after going back on the market, BlogExplosion has found a new owner.

The sale of BlogExplosion was one of the most busiest auctions in SitePoint history (auction website) as the phones and private messages did not stop until we actually closed the deal.

The new owners are a large group that have extensive blogging backgrounds and we are very happy with the outcome. This group definitely has the experience and the resources to take BE to the next level. They have a large development team that will produce better site functionality and have the means to raise the awareness of BlogExplosion moving forward.

The transition period starts next week. I will leave it up to the new owners to formally introduce themselves to you, so expect additional news to come your way shortly.

An email from Jim Quinn, operator of Blogxchange.us reveals that the traffic exchange is to close from 24 June.

I want to let all members know that BlogXchange will be closing on Saturday, 6/24/06. I am unable to devote the necessary time and effort required to continue managing the site, due to other time committments.

Yesterday I wrote BlogExplosion was for sale after an earlier agreement to sell the traffic exchange fell through. Direct from Jeremy Wright’s blog Ensight comes the news:

Well, BlogExplosion.com has sold. Again. We had a buyer 6 weeks ago, but ultimately he defaulted on his responsibilities. This time we decided to give SitePoint a whirl. Typically sites don’t go for more than 20x monthly revenue there, but the guys had had enough of fussing around for a few extra grand and simply wanted to move on.

And the best part, it sold for more than the original deal was worth!.

After their trumphant announcement by management that popular blog traffic exchange BlogExplosion had been sold, they have today announced that its for sale again in this post to the company blog

As many of you know we put BlogExplosion up for sale recently, but the buyer has recently informed us that they were not able to complete securing financing for the deal beyond their initial deposit.
